Warsaw in May , Warsaw  of Chopin 2010
This year’s spring in early May, presented the  autumn coat. Cool, moist air  creating gray clouds filled with rain did not place in Warsaw this May with warm sprinkle rain , but with  cold, disagreeable downpours . Weather systems formed  these critical weather situations over Poland, where the clash of high-pressure and  low pressure , determine the weather trends in Poland and Central Europe . The weather  symbolically  reflects  similar conflict situations  in history of Warsaw . Here in 100 years of history of Poland  military  forces   of invaders and  occupiers  clashed  and effected events in history of Poland .    Dramas of  history of our country  affected often  fate of political systems in Europe and Worldwide . Weather appropriately represents  atmosphere  of  sadness associated with the tragedy of Smolensk, .On 10 April this year  President Lech Kaczynski, his spouse  and the other 94 people have tragically perished in air disaster on the way to KATYN .  However, as with aura, and other aspects of our human reality  after the rain and cold weather  soon will follow the beautiful sunny days.  Times which   I incline to participate in a plethora of spring events. Weather mobilizing for parties, festivals and entertainment. Despite these changes and weather swings in Warsaw streets, squares, parks teem with life. Street parades of students at the annual  “Juvenalia “ .  Colors of  Schuman Parade under the slogan “There is no democracy without integration.” Celebrations  related to termination of WWII , which is the date of May 9,  start to rebuild the stroyed capital. It is on this day 65 years ago started a huge project to create from the ruins of the destroyed Warsaw, wonderful  capital of  Poland . Beautiful colorful  modern city of Warsaw  ,rebuild and reconstructed with amazing  dynamism ., These days are  artistically presented  in the  melodic  rhythm of the famous song “We are building a new house, once again new house,”  which still  resonates  in the radio on special occasion . Warsaw  through years of rebuilding  was recreated  into  beautiful, modern city . Contemporary  Warsaw provides  residents and visitors  with full range of  benefits the  true metropolis . Warsaw is a city that identifies in  the slogan “Fall in love with Warsaw ‘. stimulates  many wonderful emotions and feelings of joy . City tragically touched by the destruction during the last world war, today is a wonderful, urban  complex  . Beautifully restored houses of Nowy Swiat Street , or buildings of  the Old Town  are some of the many charming places of the city where you can actually fall in love. Even  these so called  world “globetrotters” and true  travelers  see the beauty and charm of the city, so sadly missed and  longed  by Frederic Chopin.  While walking around Warsaw, you can not to  think about Chopin. This great composer is pure Varsavian . In the  city of Warsaw  he is  present in many parts of the charming  capital of Poland . Warsaw l, especially this year, honors in many  interesting forms 200 – anniversary of the birth of the genius of the piano. Chopin was born in the manor house in Zelazowa Wola, beautifully restored  , outside of Warsaw  where he  has spent many years .. He worked here already as a boy and young man, creating new trends in the composition of piano music. Great sounds of Mazovia, which until today resonate  as  echo of Warsaw  and Poland in the concert halls of our Globe. In Warsaw, you can hear them on the musical benches installed on the hiking trail through the city, associated with Chopin. You can rest after the hardships of their travel experiences, listening to the soothing sounds of Chopin’s works.  Musical forms polonaises, mazurkas, etudes allow music lovers of the World, to cherish  melodic  sounds of  beautiful homeland of Chopin . Chopin’s music is an inspiration for many artists, arts. Jazz musicians in their  syncopated compositions remind us that the music of Chopin’s compositions was truly innovative . It is the nineteenth century, modern medicine  for the ills of modern  times. Chopin also inspired the “ Grand Theatre “ of Warsaw  Director Waldemar Dabrowski ,  galvanized Antoni Libera, author of the libretto, to which the famous French choreographer Patrice Bart, and Stanislaw Leszczynski created wonderful ballet of a specific form of musical performance  called  “Chopin”. It is a  story of genius ,   expressed in the ballet  miniatures and paintings, the life of a  Chopin . This production  with music including Schubert, Liszt, Schumann and  of course Chopin, presents dilemmas of Chopin. His youth, a trip  away from  his beloved Polish, patriotism, the stormy life of George Sand, the stay in the Balearic Islands, are  beautifully set in the stunning  orchestral  arrangements  , chorus, dancers and superb support of Polish National Ballet. That ballet  production , in this extraordinary novel form  show  dramatic aspects of  Chopin  life  .  This year  , Warsaw was bestowed  with most interesting institution affiliated with the life of Chopin,  being  inter-active, one of the most modern museums in the World,  called Center of Chopin. The cabinets come to the listener with examples of his works.  This Museum presents  truly professional capacity  for  explorations of the emotions , through the  stereo  music wealth and commentary  about Chopin.

However, Elton John was  performing ,  on a well-known sports fans Polonia Stadium, to  the delight of fans. Great soulful songs, combining musical tastes of many generations will sound over Warsaw. In May, Warsaw has been enriched by new and interesting monument in the shape of the manhole into the sewers of the city. This monument  was unveiled  by s Foreign Minister of Poland  Radoslaw Sikorski. It commemorates the evacuation of the fighters of the Warsaw ghetto during the ghetto uprising in 1943. Those who survived this horror ,later on fought in the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. This monument is located on Twarda Street.  On this street also  Warsaw Jewish culture  Festival “Open Twarda .” took place  . I wish to recommend  interesting website : http://varshe.pl, , which name  derives from the name of Warsaw in Yiddish Varsha. Artistic life of the capital is full of attractions. At the Grand Theatre, Queen of soprano  Edita Gruberova, won the hearts of music lovers, admirers of , “Bell canto”.  Than  Warsaw enjoyed , already a seventh -edition of “Night of Museums”  , which took place in the May night in Warsaw. Residents and visitors to this charming city, had the opportunity to move in the night journey between Warsaw museum objects in the special “museum  buses “ . It was a wonderful adventure. Visit at midnight, in the deep night, the Halls of the National Museum, Archives , Polish Army Museum, the Museum of the Warsaw Uprising, the underground Chopin Museum, Warsaw FILTRY ,  water filters  was a great experience of meeting with Warsaw history and past .   While writing about museums in Warsaw, it is worth mentioning interesting museum, which  holds collections of “KOLTUNY” , those typical  ,of the old Republic, tufts of hair glued by “ “sebum”  otherwise sweat , which in the old days were worn to guard against the alleged powers of blindness or madness. These exhibits, proudly  carry  the scientific , Latin name , “Plica Polonica. There are special collections of the Main Medical Library located in the old pavilion Ujazdowski Hospital. A sensation of Warsaw museum  exhibits was  the unique presentation  at the Royal Castle of “live”  excellent, even exciting, “Lady with an Ermine.” This is a picture of the genius of Leonardo da Vinci. On the way from Budapest, to her  residence in the Czartoryski Museum in Krakow,  “Lady”  made stop over in Warsaw. As the specialists say they she  is  more beautiful than Mona Lisa from the Louvre.  Lazienki Palace of  Warsaw  surrounded  by  wonderful park was once upon the time the  Summer Palace of the King Poniatowski . In Park of Lazienki  there is also worth of noting , “White House”, an amphitheater and other spectacular creations of architecture of the period of King Stanislaus Poniatowski . A beautiful park, landscaped gardens with white flowering chestnut trees snowing down with  its flakes of green, juicy grass is truly picturesque  . It gives for the eyes the visitors unforgettable moments. Nature with  joyful   sounds of sparrows, peacocks calls  and lovers  romantically  sighing , gently giving  soft kisses lovers who while  strolling the colorful carpets of flowers and grasses try to  find  quiet  bench  to be more comfortable in the warm embraces while  whispering intimate confession . That was true  prelude to the real spring and  summer in Warsaw . “Lazienki “  are located next to the famous “Belvedere”. An interesting and aesthetically presenting the neo-classical architectural building concept is closely associated with the Marshal Jozef Pilsudski. On 12 May 1935, Marshal Pilsudski died at the Belvedere  .This year marks the 75 anniversary of the Marshals departure  He gave during  his leadership  important guidance for future history of Poland  encapsulated in these words  “Freedom”, ” Limit”, “Power” and “Respect.” How important elements in the construction of the Independent Poland , as it was said during  the funeral of Marshal Castle, by former President of Poland  Moscicki. Museum of Marshall Pilsudski  in Sulejowek  paying respect to the anniversary, presented a great open-air exhibition  on front of Belvedere . Warsaw Spring is also a nice time to start to run, how popular in Europe markets and small fairs. Powisle, Bialoleka are areas where, during weekends, the stalls laden with food present  fresh vegetables, fruits, bread with  lard  and  typical for the region sausages and meat products. In Warsaw  during the May   great  interesting forms of entertainment based on the knowledge about famous Poles , were presented . And so, for example, one of the  “paths of knowledge” is an interesting walk paths  along the Mokotow Fields. There are strollers surprisingly educated  about life of the world-famous writer Ryszard Kapuscinski. The elements of this “path” knowledge  were as interesting as authors books. Warsaw is a great European city. The next year in Warsaw a great job awaits the City , in carrying out many projects,  when Poland in 2011, will hold the presidency in the EU.
