Summer in Bondi

While thinking about Sydney summer, with  warm pleasant  atmosphere , when we face  gentle  temperatures , blue sky and blue ocean , we associate our emotions and feelings  with  the famous Bondi beach.
Beach is indeed an icon of Sydney. They talk about this wonderful beach, under all latitudes of the globe. It attracts tourists from all corners of the World. But not only beach and sun  for travelers . . Bondi is also a meeting place  of Sydneysiders .  Here they spend their free time on entertainment and recreation. This beach is a real stage of all possible hedonistic  joys and all sort of  performances . Athletes on the gymnastic apparatuses, carrying weights,  build their  muscles. Some train for the look and  appearance , while others to win trophies in swimming, surfing, acrobatics on skateboards or in paddling. Walkers, however, many of them coming from  Eastern and Central Europe ,  often elegantly dressed, wearing even “tie”  are  frequently  walking icons  the Black  Sea  City of Odessa . You can   meet  locals  and vacationing travelers  mingling  in their exotic cloth , colorful caftans , robes, jillbas,, jackets, just like in the pictures  directly  from the fairy tales of  “Thousand and One Nights.” However, most, sunbathers and walkers  decide to relax . Ladies in comfortable, airy mini-dresses and gentlemen in typical outfits ,such as shorts, “ Speedo” swimmers  plus thongs  and also so-called “T-shirts.” This type of cloth  is  just like a  statement  , “I am Aussie.”

Walkers on Bondi beach boulevard, with interest  look at the “ kaleidoscope” of bodies and colours.  And what  a sight it is .  Athletic bodies, brave ladies in  “topless” gear . Some look at these scenes  with  horror. Hot air and strengths of the sun  act as  frying agents for the flesh in the pan the beach, under the blazing  rays of Australian sun. It provides some with  the thought, “Do these people no  hear  about skin cancer.”  Many visitors  with  degree of  curiosity and some admiration  look discreetly on  the splendid torsos presented by  athletes, volleyball players and other  sports people .
Bondi is a place where the spectacle is  truly of  physical  nature .Culture of  sport  where everything is connected with the muscles and  with physical vigor improvement of the body , which is  religiously celebrated here. Bondi is kind of a  veritable temple where  pagan ritual  of homage to the Sun is celebrated . Sun this wonderful source of life, energy, vitamin D, but also deadly  to the  skin cells can effect the  genetics of human body , and in many cases, unfortunately, to  frequently leads to major changes in skin tissue, which  in turn may result in  horrific consequences  of  developing  skin cancer.

But not only is the physical experience provided on Bondi to the visitors . Bondi is the place where annually “Festival of Sydney “ , offers to viewers and spectators likewise visitors great , often free , performances by artists, singers, also concerts and opera performances. During one of the Festivals , in an attractive “Pavilion”, which features stunning ocean view framed with golden sand of the beach, ,found its home , to enrich our emotional world and the strength of spirit, group of the Tibetan monks. “In a healthy body healthy spirit must live “ as a famous sayings. But not just proverbs and words build the strength of our spirit . The positive meditating THOUGHTS also progress us to better mental health .  So GYOTO monks , have created for a time being ,in the “Pavilion” of Bondi , most exiting community center related to the spirituality. By sharing philosophy of meditation, exhibitions and construction of MANDALA , they enrich the visitors perceptions of deep spiritual life. Help us to find, own “I” , not the material sense , but in the physics of the sensations one experiences during meditation .  Construction of the Mandala is one of the forms entering and experiencing the spirituality. .
So for a short time Bondi became a center of spiritual enrichment .Visitors while observing the monks in their extraordinary concentration during creation the geometry of form and color of sand MANDALAS , begin in many instances join spiritually Gyota Monks in “ voyage” into world of contemplation and meditation . These monks are from famous GYUTO University, founded by students of the 1st Dalai Lama, whose philosophy is continually followed at that the University from about 1474 until the present day . The famous Tibetan monastery GYUTO is scholastic center of GYOTO Buddhism . The philosophy of GYOTO Buddhism is based on meditation ,which includes many forms of deep exploration of human spirituality as “Chanting” and creating “Mandela”.

MANDALA is a wonderful creation of two or three dimensional shape of a circle with embedded symbols of Buddhism. They are made of colored sand , poured onto earlier design sketches with conical tubes . By the rhythmic rubbing of cones made from a special bronze by special guiding rode, with sounds of “murmuring “ , monks kind of gently stimulate the sand to slip , during the long hours of the meditation process into a magnificent geometry of symbols of Buddhism.. Their presence in Sydney at Bondi , supported by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama ,allows the visitors to their corner of Bondi , for moments of reflection and meditation.

When one sees the Mandala,, especially being conscious that this wonderful structure , just after its construction is by its creators, wiped out in one motion ,into the small pile of sand , one analyzes the concept of “passing” in the Universe.

Tantric, multi-Audio “chanting”, these “murmuring ” unique singing sounds , which are  based on physics  of  larynx , vocal cords and producing  the vocal sound from the depths of the respiratory system  which  causes the monks  bodies to create this amazing mood  around themselves .  The aura and deep feelings related to the impact of  this specific music produced by monks  places strong  imprint on our minds. During the experience , which introduces a mood of relaxation  , meditating  monks, many of the visitors while observing these monks  released in that particular  month of  August, a special forces into the Universe .

Visit of  GYOTO monks produces to all visitors  spiritual  enrichment of all those who were fortunate enough to visit the “Pavilion” in Bondi , where  one could also learn regarding  the  “PHOWA Project.” This project is to combat the troublesome  decease of the  stomach  which effects  many  Tibetan monks  and  also  many residents of this region of Asia known as the “Roof, the world “.  Disease of the stomach “Phowa” in Tibetan, causes the presence in their digestive system bacteria “Helicobacteri Pylori.” This bacteria was discovered  by two Australian scientists Dr. And Dr. Robin Warren. Marschal Barry, who received for this discovery in 2005, the Nobel prize  in Medicine.
Summer in Sydney is not just a nagging heat  caused by high air temperatures and great humidity, it is also a lot of interesting artistic, emotional moments and experiences. It’s also time for some relaxation, it’s time to reflect about  life.

This is the city maybe not called  “eternal” like  Rome, but nevertheless provides a sense of village-like stability, a sense of the atmosphere of old days of glory ,refinement, power and magnificence of European culture. Emotions  take one into world  imagination. In Vienna we carry  the sense of suspended time. Internal clock which each of us carries in his soul, driven by the pace, stress of modern life, seems to be “frozen” in Vienna.   Only  the sounds of horses  hoofs on the pavement  of  Viennese streets, measure the  second.  The tapping and drumming  of  the familiar rhythms of the era of ”Blue Danube” by droshkies  absorbs  us in the world of fantasy and charm of the past glory of Vienna. Humming melodies of the times of Emperor Franz Joseph, the rhythm of these days  are  not forgotten in the full of rich tones atmosphere of the Vienna streets, pubs and wine cellars .Johan Strauss waltzes, sentimental wandering through the alleys of Vienna, is magnificent, “antidote” to the disease  of XXI century, which is the continual lack of time. In addition to walking, you can  learn about  joy of use of  white-red color, trams. These vehicles  allow  great ride along the RING Strasse , broad avenue, which was implemented in the current shape during the nineteenth century, surrounds the old town of Vienna. This stylish urban ring of the city, lined with magnificent jewels of  monumental buildings of Parliament, Hofburg, Opera House, the Burg Theater, Votive Kirche , interspersed with green carpets of parks is  a wonderful showcase of Vienna. Riding along the Ring, one sees a huge square of “ Schwarzenberg Platz  “, where the impressive   monument  commemorating  contribution of Soviet troops in liberating  Vienna from the  hostilities  of  WWII .  The RING can be starting   point  to  small escapade to  further districts “ Bezirks “in Vienna. . Using the underground railway ”U-bahn” , one can visit the beautiful Schonbrunn Palace,  or ”Schnellbahn “  fast train  one can go to “Grinzing”. To this merry  ,full of fun  place , to  experience the joyful moments of ” Heurigen” ,  sipping  quality   Austrian wines.

From  Grinzing  it is only short trip to the top of  Kalenberg.

This is the mount  covered with beautiful trees  where on its ”summit” amongst Vienna Woods, one finds  lovely , small Church . It is the place  where in 1683  relief of Vienna  under  Polish King John Sobieski, took place . He , the Johanness Sobieski  led  united forces  Christian armies against the  Turkish forces of Kara Mustafa. Near the city center, where you can get by  tram, is the third “Bezirk”. There is, of beautiful outer garment, naive art style,” unprecedented building. This manifestation of a huge fantasy designed by the famous Hundertwasser, an international artist with Polish roots, his work is often reminiscent of the famous Polish artist Nikifor, is a great experience for visitors. The building with its colors, stucco, forms of outer facade,  is  as moved from the land of fairy tales.
Vienna, despite the physical distance, is always close to the romantic souls. It inspires, lovers of the beauty of art, rich history, aesthetics, urbanism, all of which humanistic values are close to the heart.
