Christchurch to Queenstown through the south ,

while travelling through this great country of New Zealand  is truly beautiful , exiting and stimulating experience .  South Island presents  its  beauty in many  unique and spectacular  proportions . Relatively small  island , Te Waipounamu as,the  South Island  is called in Maori culture , is  rather long  and is biggest of the two magnificent islands  of New Zealand . Place itself mesmerises  with vistas of rolling hills where  greenery  of  all shades  are  mixed by profiles and patterns  of fields , forests and farm land where  white dots of sheep  , brown of cattle present  fantastic  visual kaleidoscope  to please visitors senses.  Invercargill  major town of south of the island is the place where people start the trips to Stewart Island  and also occasionally  Antarctic cruises can be as well enjoyed . Travelling north from Invercargill one passes by  lovely beaches , rouged coastal places and one visits amazing lakes , where the serenity and beauty of deepest lake in New Zealand , HAUROKO of  462 meters in depth is truly memorable . While travelling  along the western part of the island one gets eventually to Queenstown , where truly international atmosphere of this centre , with flavor of ALPS aura awaits visitors to enjoy rest of the holiday .
